你經常見我只做 6 個鬆餅、6寸蛋糕、半磅麵包,並非源於拍視頻為求方便。 這個是我在減肥時建立下來的良好習慣︰預先控制份量。

那些用隻細碟放食物、吃前拍照、吃一口放下餐具、慢慢咀嚼,對極愛吃的我來說,可是通通不適用。

於是,我用了一個很硬性方法,就是做時做少一點,吃過後必須入廚房勞動一番才能再吃。

幻想一下︰屋內只有你和伴侶。你做一磅麵包,在沒有防腐劑的情況之下,麵包放雪櫃能保存一星期、放室溫,只有三天。 如你和伴侶要在三天內吃完一磅12片,即你們每人每天要吃兩片。

聽上去很少吧,對不對?錯了。

你每朝早,只需要一塊足料自家製麵包。吃兩片,已經等於吃多了。 若你做一磅,他忘記了吃只是一天,最終誰去吃完整條包?

要不是你,要不就是益了垃圾筒。

預控制份量,就是在做菜、包、蛋糕時,只做你當前(或三天內)能吃的份量。而我做半磅,同樣切12片,我便可以吃兩片,感覺上好像吃多了,但實質,我吃得依然均衡。

記住︰做時做少一點,不用被誘惑,不用煩!

You always see me making only 6 muffins or a small 6 inches cake in the videos, not because it’s a demonstration so I make less. It’s because this is one of my weight loss trick: preparatory portion control.

Before I explain, imagine: There’re only you and your love one in the house. You made a 1 pound loaf bread, without any preservatives chemical, it lasts in room temperature for 3 days, fridge 1 week.

If you have to finish 12 slices in 3 days, means you two have to eat 2 slices a day. Sound not that much right?

Wrong.

You only need one slice homemade bread every morning. Take two = over-eat.

Not to mention, if your love one forgets to eat for just one day. Who is going to finish the bread?

Either you, or the rubbish bin.

Preparatory Portion Control, that is DO NOT make more than you SHOULD EAT right now or within three days. Making half pound, still 12 slices, you can eat 2 slices. It feels like you eat more, but actually, you’re still in balance diet.

I know I’ve no self-control when it comes to food. I must find a way to help myself from over-eating anything. So I make less.

No argue! No temptation.

By the way, that’s why the Chow’s household always has no leftover, rubbish bin is just for rubbish, no food.
